Intuitive Practice
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
—Mary Oliver, Wild Geese
Times are changing and it’s more important than ever to discover ways to build resilience and tune into what inspires us!
Like with the body, care of the mind or psyche requires us to monitor what we take in—whether it’s news of events around us or the messages of those close to us—and discern what is reliable, truthful and helpful. We need to relax, open and exercise our minds through simple, daily practices. And we can allow our assumptions and habits to break down, in order to rebuild more strength and clarity of mind to face our challenges and appreciate our joys.
If I were to choose one word to describe the heart of my approach, I’d pick Intuition.
Just as thinking, feeling and sensing are tools we use every day, intuition is part of our birthright—available to anyone who wants to step out of the daily noise and perceive something of the mystery of this life. Intuition offers us a subtle awareness—a clear knowing that we cannot quite grasp objectively.
My approach is not psychotherapy and is unlike many psychic development classes because it’s a marriage of the psychological with the psychic. It’s an engagement with learning and exploration of the psychological patterns that limit us, along with a discovery of ways to live in a deeper state of trust. We do this within a supportive, creative space where we can reflect on the process of relaxing our minds—seeing how our fears and anxieties can interrupt, as well as inform this process, developing awareness of our habitual consciousness—avoidance of our Shadow selves, past experiences projected onto the present…—and recognizing ways to come into relationship with these old patterns. Within this process, we turn to the rich imagery of art, poetry, song, dreams, Tarot… inviting in the images that move and enlighten us.
Through this practice of connecting, relaxing and clarifying, something else becomes possible. You may experience a lightness or freedom and flexibility. You may realize that we are never alone or isolated but inherently intimate with all things. You may discover the ease and joy in the small, powerful moments of our lives! And feel the strength and support that is always available to us.
No beliefs are needed. This is the work of direct experience that encourages you to trust in yourself and feel empowered in your life.
I invite you to start with a Free Initial Consultation to ask any questions and get to know me a bit. You can also schedule an individual session where we can meet and begin to clarify your needs and direction. Then consider joining with others, as this work is especially powerful within small groups where the creativity and support of community becomes an essential part of the work!

Intuitive Practice sessions are educational, utilizing a process of learning and exploration to encourage understanding and improvements in stress tolerance and coping strategies. Intuitive Practice, both individual and group sessions, is not psychotherapy or counseling and does not address diagnosable and medically necessary treatment of mental health problems. Intuitive Practice sessions may be a wonderful adjunct to psychotherapy with another provider or well-suited to those who are experiencing increased stress and mild levels of depressed mood or anxiety who wish to develop additional life skills and coping strategies
